What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a pseudo-chinese transfer printed vase decorated with a mix of chinese and european designs, marked at the base 棟, which is both a chinese and japanese character and means "building". This was definitely an inexpensive vase at the time of purchase, judging from the screenprint texture and colours produced in the 1960s or 1970s, most likely in Japan for the european market. The estimate is based on similar offered or sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
