What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a japanese transfer printed and moriage decorated vase, marked at the base "Nippon" and "hand painted". The vase bears the japanese name "Nippon" for export ware to be exported to the USA, this term was used from 1891-1921. The vase in your possession is of good size and the gloss gilding is intact to the most part. The estimate is based on similar sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
