What does this mean?

Dear Dawn,

Again you have a modern production vase from China. This typical green colour is called Celadon or greenware. Celadon is a green colour made originally in China and became popular in Yuan dynasty ( 1271–1368 ). Cutting jade was always considered a high art form and if the potter managed to resemble the best green colour of jade in the glaze of pottery was considered a master. Also in Europe and USA Celadon was appreciated and therefor pieces were made for export mainly in 19th and 20th century ( up to today in fact ).
Your vase is not very old but of good quality. Value is not high but since this this is a big vase I would feel price need to be around the estimate I gave you if it came to a sales room or auction.
