Very old original charcoal drawing of a lighthouse in original frame
06 January 2026
Description

This belonged to my late grandmother and was found in her attic on clearing her house in the 1970’s by my late parents. It is an original charcoal drawing of a lighthouse and is signed J.W.B. The frame is wooden (I think oak?) and originally had a planked back but this was damaged, as was the glass, so both backing and glass have been replaced. The drawing is in excellent condition having been stored for many years and then hung away from strong light. There is no evidence of woodworm to the frame though there is slight damage to the detailing.
