This bomber was new with tags, and now it has some stain on the front of it. I have attached photos before it was brand new and I had received it back with some type of defect on the nylon. Looking to get an appraisel on the item when it was new, Retailed for- around $2,300 USD (the tag is in Euros) and now after that the defect is on it I am looking for an appraisal on the jacket
Purchased from a boutique that carries Vetements a rare color of Burgendy, currently long sold out and worth a lot of money. I sold it new, but was shipped back to me with a defect in the nylon. I was the first owner and kept it in my closet. Looking for appraisal after the defect (In the last 4 photos you can see the 'smudge' on the left side of the jacket above the pocket, it is white or off colored)
Thank you for contacting Mearto. This is a Vetements + Alpha Industries Reversible Printed Shell Bomber Jacket in Burgundy. New jackets like this retail for around $2000, as you noted. The defect on your piece is minor, but it is visible and will affect the price.
Damaged designer items can be altered by the new owner (maybe they can add a patch or pin), so it is possible you will find a buyer, although it may be a challenge. From your pictures, it looks like the damage to the fabric is not repairable. The fabric looks like it may have been damaged by an adhesive. For visibly damaged designer goods, the price you can expect to get is usually around 10 to 15% of the original retail value.
Based on sales of similar items, the Fair Market Value of this piece is between $200 and $300.
