Hi Karen,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
These chandeliers were extremely common in Victorian homes and practically ubiquitous; many companies such as Edward Caldwell, Gorham and Tiffany & Co. There are a lot of them on the market, which keeps the prices on the modest side; most of these that come to auction sell for less than $600, particularly if they need to be fitted with modern electricity (it looks like yours already has been wired).
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique Victorian cast brass and crystal six-light chandelier
Probably American, late 19th/early 20th century
Suspended from a pierced cast brass fitting issuing chains that support a circular armature with six scrolled arms and electrified "candles", the bobeche or candle cups hung with faceted glass or crystal prisms.
43 inches high (adjustable); diameter: 23 inches
CONDITION: This appears to be in good condition; it has been wired
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$300-600*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
