This vase is a kind of blue and white, murky colored, piece with figures painted on the surface. It is from an auction three or four years ago of estate effects in Los Angeles. It appears that scholars are convening for some purpose in the scenes. It measures 10.75 high by 6.25 wide. It is heavy, so I wonder if it is stoneware, versus porcelain or ceramic. It has Chinese characters and English on the bottom. Update: Now, you have the proper mark for this piece that shows the mark as clearly as I could make it.

Hi Rhonda,
I don't see the English, and the Chinese character marks are too blurry to read. Is it possible to get photos that show those better?
Many thanks in advance,
Delia
Thanks, Rhonda!
Those Chinese characters read "Made in China", so it reads that in both Chinese and English. They were in use after 1919, which makes this 20th Century. I would catalog this as:
A vintage Chinese blue and white porcelain bough pot
early/mid 20th Century
Of cylindrical form, depicting figures in a landscape with stylized neck and foot borders. Marked underneath "Made in China" in both English and Chinese characters
10 3/4 inches high by 6 1/4 inches wide
PROVENANCE: acquired at an estate auction 3-4 years ago
$300-500*

OK. I will adjust and add the correct image in focus.
