It looks like this was (later?) fitted with an electrical heating element.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Colonial Revival style copper cauldron
early 20th Century, electrified and fitted with a heating element
Of ovoid form and fitted rim, raised on three tapering short feet.
(DIMENSIONS)
CONDITION: heating element may have been added at the time of manufacturer or at a later date. Lacking lid, with some oxidation throughout.
