Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an austrian ceramic majolica vase of the art nouveau era, circa 1900. The slip cast body shows the typical characteristics of the austrian Jugendstil era, flowing outlines of beautiful flowers combined with geometric ornaments. The vase is hand painted in enamel colours and bears an impressed serial production number 8348 at the base, the handwritten number will most likely be the number by which the painter was identified with within the factory, which was most likely located in the Turn-Teplitz area in the then austro-hungarian empire. The estimate is based on similar items sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
