I have assorted pieces of ( i believe) Norataki China, 5 cake plates, 6 smaller plates, 7 tea cups, a tea pot, a tiered plate and several small odd pieces. It is blue and white and appears to have Japanese dragons in the motif. Seemed of the pieces say “ made in Occupied Japan” on the bottom, some just have assorted insignias.
From my great aunt on my fathers side and I don’t know anything else about it! 6 dinner plates but they have chips in them!
Hi Ginny,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is not Noritake; that mark was not used by the company. There were many other companies making porcelain wares for export so unfortunately we do not know which one made this but it's a lovely set regardless.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage 25-30 piece Japanese export blue and white porcelain part dessert service
Unattributed Japanese maker, post World War II
Allover blue and white stylized foliate motif with cranes, throughout, marked below "MADE IN/OCCUPIED / JAPAN", comprising:
5 cake plates,
6 smaller plates,
7 tea cups
1 tea pot, a
1 tiered plate
several small odd pieces
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: inherited from great aunt
$100-150 for the set*

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
If you've marked them as "for sale," yes, they're already up and you may received inquiries.
If you haven't marked them as for sale, you should be able to change that; let me know if you can't.
I believe that I have marked them For Sale but I am not sure! How would I check that please? So sorry to be a pest! Regards, Ginny
Yes, they are marked for sale. You're all set, no worries whatsoever!
Delia, I figured it out and I did make it for sale! Should I change that it is not Norataki??
Yes, if it lets you do it.
If not, I can do it on my end....
Delia, I was not able to update it to say that it is not Norataki! Can you add what’s it is and your description if that is not asking too much and I believe we will be done! Thanks so much!!
Good to go
Delia, thank you for your appraisal! Do the dishes now go on your marketplace or if not how do I put them on there? Thanks, Ginny
