Hand forged steel pan drum made from old oil drum. Signed by Clem Bellerand, who crafted this vintage instrument in Point Cumana, Trinidad, W.I. Mr. Bellerand is famous in the world of steel pan music, he was the leader/director of 'Boys Town', the first steel pan band to win the very first competition at the T&T National Steelband Music Festival, in Cumana Trinidad, 1952. Clem would continue to lead, teach, and help produce many successful Steelband drummers and bands for many years after his first victory in 1952.
This Steelpan drum is used in good condition some minor dents/scratches, probably needs tuning. It's approximately 2.5 feet in diameter, and 10 inches deep, 10 pounds? Drum playing surface labeled with corresponding notes (ABCDGG#F#, etc...)
