Probably a buffet. 54" wide, 54" high, 22" deep. Arched mirror.

Good morning, Marlene,
Thank you for using Mearto for your appraisal inquiry. I notice oak in some of the photos so am calling this walnut and oak. The mirror suggests to me that this was used in the bedroom rather than in a dining room as a buffet would have been but if this has deep drawers with liners for bottles, that would point to food storage. I think the term "commode" is the best as does not denote particular usage but rather form.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Continental Art Deco Walnut and Oak Mirrored Commode
early 20th Century
The arched back inset with a mirror, the multilayered top over a lobed case fitted with four short drawers flanked by rounded side cabinets, all on short scrolling feet.
54 inches high, 54 inches wide, 22 inches deep
CONDITION: Not examined in person; from photographs appears to have use wear commensurate with age. Some crazing to surface or flaking to veneers on drawer fronts.
PROVENANCE: inherited
