Walrus Carving
This walrus measures 13.25" in circumference, 13.5 inches in length, 4.5" in width, 3.5 inches in height. No sure what the stone is. Heavy. Dark stone. There appears to be perhaps a small signature mark on the bottom.
Gift from friend in exchange for another item. Never exhibited.

I can't make out the marks either but it does not look like a signature to me.

An Alaskan carved soapstone and ivory walrus
Possibly Inuit, 20th Century
Depicting the body of a walrus, with inset ivory or bone tusks. Marked indistinctly underneath.
3 1/2 inches high, 13 1/2 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition.
