Dear Ryan,
Thank you for submitting images of your 20th century, American watercolor painting of a rural landscape to Mearto. In the late 1960s C Troup Gallery was one of the Galleries who established the Dallas Gallery District, so it wouldn't surprise me if this is a Texas scene. The Gallery is mentioned as being one of the foundations of the development of the Dallas Art scene.
Correct me if I am wrong, but this piece does not appear to be signed, is this correct? As an unsigned, mid-century American watercolor, similar pieces sell at auction for between $20USD and $50USD.
If the piece is signed, please let me know as it may effect the value of the work and I'll happily re-assess it for you. Otherwise, if you have any follow-up questions, please let me know.
Kind Regards,
Erin-Marie
So what exactly did i pay for? For you as an "expert" to tell me it's unsigned and c. Troup is from texas? That muchi figured out on my own. Thanks? Are you an expert?
Wait. So you have no idea who, or where it came from. Thanks for your. Help?
