12 inches by 10.5 inches. It is an oil painting and an original according to A.J. Bray. I bought it about 20 (25?) years ago at his art studio in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He was the art collector for Vincent Price and he owned an original work of Seven.
This is an original. It was put into a class German history book.
Hi Patricia,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I am not finding AJ Bray (or any artists whose first names start with A, last name Bray) with corresponding signature or similar works to have sold at auction so there are no auction sales but comparable works by unattributed Canadian artists of this vintage typically sell for $100-500.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
Canadian School, late 20th Century
Winter River Landscape with Native Americans
oil on canvas
signed "AJ Bray/'96" lower left
12 by 10 1/2 inches, framed
PROVENANCE: acquired directly from the artist 20-25 years ago
