Dear Amy,
Thank you for your request and please excuse the delay of your answer. Is it possible to add a detailed picture of the inlay? Thanks.
Best regards,
Georg
Dear Amy,
Thank you for your reply. This is a so-called Windsor chair made in England. Chairs like this are made as hall chairs for representative needs. That explains the elaborate inlay with different sorts of woods and mother of pearl. Also typical is the ergonomically shaped seating. Probably this chair was made in the 19th century in Great Britain or more accurate in England. The company Linnel which produced many chairs in different models could be the producer. An estimation would be from 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
Thank you so much! Are these very sought after?
Yes, of course. I added 3 closer pics of the inlay and a pic of the bottom of the chair. Thank you.
