Dear Fred,
Thank you for your request. The presented object is an armchair with the measurements of 36" tall 24" wide 20" deep. This chair is orientated in its fundamental design to folding chairs which were used for the imperators in the Roman ages. Also, this type of chair was common for Oriental furniture like from Northern Arabic countries like Marocco. Additionally, we have here a backrest which is decorated with carvings and inlay work. This chair was probably made in the last third of the 19th century. The used woods are mahogany and a brighter sort which cant defined on the base of these images. Additionally, we have inlay work of mother of pearl.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 250 to 500 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
