Dear Corinna,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a large-size wooden statue with the measurements of 5ft. The statue depicts a Balinese temple dancer with a traditional flower head decor. She is holding a bowl of rice or food as an oblation and is dressed in an Indonesian or Balinese traditional costume. Such wood carvings are made in Indonesia and highly probable in Bali. It was probably made in the last two decades. Bali has thousands of very talented wood carving workshops that export worldwide.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 300 to 600 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Corinna,
Thank you for your email and you are welcome. The long objects appear to be parts of flowers or plants or could be fabric like silk which covers the oblation.
With kind regards,
Georg
