Wood, metal has been recovered

This is a vintage, 20th century, armchair from the Mid 20th century that is made in the Eames, Atomic style and form that was popular in the Mid-Century Modern design era. There are stencilled number codes on the underside of the seat, however they cannot be traced to the maker. The finish states 'walnut', though in the images, this appears more to be ebonized. Without a maker name stamped, tagged or labeled on this, the manufacturer cannot be definitvely stated, however it is likely American. This possibly was one of the captain's or armchairs for a dining table set. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
