30” H x 24”W 3 wooden vertical panels somehow fused together then hand engraved Chinese symbols on front. Appears to be a brass decorative hanging piece attached to top and part of wax seal on back.
Purchased at estate sale from former military member who was stationed in China. He bought piece many years ago from street antique vendor in China. Said to be from mid to late 18th century
Dear Meredith,
I believe your wall panel is made in 20th century in China. I'm sorry to say I do not think its an very old piece. The bronze appliques are modern production and I also think the panel itself has some natural wear but not what I would like to see to make it 19th or even 18th century. Its very decorative an has some value; Chinese art and antiques are doing well these day's. My estimation is based on what I believe the price could be in a sale or auction.
