World War Two POW sculptured wooden letter box made by Jewish prisoner.
10 and a half inches wide by 7 inches long by 3 inches high closed Sculptured throughout I dont know what kind of wood but there are flowers on the sides with carved basket weaves and leaves sculptured on top. Some scratches a crack it looks as though there was a lock or they never put one on it. Tiny hinges and it has a hidden mirror that pops open to shave or prepare for the day it hides within its own cubby. what a well made historical thing you have, it's made of oak tree and is polish, it can easily be made by a prisoner of war, but we doubt whether it is Jewish as they do not celebrate Christmas, that's a thing that will be easy to sell to a World War II collector for example on Ebay
