Pecs hungary
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an early Zsolnay Pecs vase of the 1890s, just as you suggested. The vase of baluster form features an orange / yellow craquelure glaze with a stencil sprayed eosin glaze. The estimate is based on similar vases sold at auction, but a serious collector from Hungary might be willing to pay much more than the high estimate. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
Thank you Klaus, this pot has been sitting in a box in my loft for the past 25 years, although sentimental to a certain amount, real memories are more important. The item is not on show so is not being appreciated.
I have other items also of the same era ( i think) which i am going to add also.
Many thanks
Suzanne
