Noritake dinnerware gifted from a Japanese businessman to my father in Japan in 1955/56. Smooth gold edging, pattern of white wild roses, rosebuds and leaves around the edges, no centre pattern. Back reads Noritake, with a yellow and green seal, and NIPPON TOKI KAISHA. All in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no signs of use.
Sorry, I wrote some of this in the last dialog. My father lived in Osaka for a year in 1955/56 overseeing the construction of an oil tanker. He contracted a Japanese company to outfit the ship. In thanks, the chandler gifted my father this 12 place setting of dinnerware plus serving dishes. I have a letter from the chandler with his name. I have not been able to find the seal, the pattern of the dishes or any other information on any other websites, probably since this pattern was never sold in North America, nor on American military bases.

Good morning, Catherine,
I did a little search this morning for the pattern name but there are a LOT of patterns and they don't vary in value by pattern. I'll continue to look and will let you know if I find it but I wanted to get the valuation out to you ASAP.
Well, that's disappointing but not surprising. While I'd like to know that pattern name, it's not vital.
You (Mearto) can help me sell it? Do you take a commission from me? How does it work?
We work with lots of auctioneers from relevant and highly qualified auction houses, both in the US and around the world. Your item is in our database of leads and interested auctioneers will reach out to you directly on your email if they can help you sell your item.
If you said "yes" or "maybe" when we asked if your item was for sale auctioneers are now able to contact you. If you said "no" go to your item page and change that to "yes".
Alternatively, now that you have an idea of the value of the set, you can proactively reach out to auction houses in your area to see if they are interested in selling this on your behalf (yes, they would take a commission).
Thank you for all your help. As I understand it, I don't need to do anything else? but wait for people to contact me?
I have other items to sell, I will follow the same process to list them.
Also, I think I found the pattern name: White Gardenia 5029. If that helps.
I've added in the pattern name.
