Upholstered in a maroon velvet, the chair stands 38" High, 24 1/2" Wide, the Arms are 21" long, the bottom footrest platform extension has a length of 25 1/2", the chair back is 26" High and 20" Wide and the seat is 20 1/2" Deep and 19 1/2" Wide. The chair is free from any stains, tears or open seams on the fabric. The wood is solid and functional as is the entire chair. My 7 year-old Grandson has enjoyed taking a rock on it from time to time. For the entire life of this chair from 1970 until present it has been housed in a pet-free and smoke-free environment. I do not know the history previous to that. My last picture is of the only markings I was able to find on this piece. I am unable to read what it says.
