A vintage Art Nouveau style carved maple or mahogany rocking armchair
mid-late 20th Century
The heart-shaped back of the chair carved with flanking lion's heads and serpent bodies over a rounded saddle seat and curving arms with stylized paw-form terminals, raised on four turned legs joined by an H-stretcher, all on rockers.
32 inches high, 23 inches wide, 23 inches deep
CONDITION: with a high-gloss finish; appears to be in good condition.
PROVENANCE: Acquired from a Gloversville, N.Y., estate sale
