This is a P38 pistol with one (1) clip. Based on markings, it was made by the Mauser company for Walther. All serial numbers match ( 1316). Pistol is worn but unknown if it was used or simply old.
This pistol belonged to my father before he passed earlier this year. It's been in our family for as long as I can remember (50 years). It's never been fired while in our family, but I don't know if it's ever been used or not. Based on the date (1943) and serial number (1316) and knowing Mauser produced these through 1945, I imagine it was issued and brought to the field. I don't know how it came into my family's possession.

Hej Georg - Attached are a lot more photos of the mark on this Walther P38. They were very hard to get a good image of so I took a lot of photos in the hopes that one or two of them will be of good enough quality for you to view. Tak!
