Porcelain doll
Belonged to my grandmother, from her childhood.
Dear Jody,
Thank you for the additional information. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to big doll with a height of 20 inches. It has a porcelain head and arms/ hands. The neck is marked 22 7x DEP for "model deposé". The producer is sadly not identifiable and was probably located in Germany or France.
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 80 to 250 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
I'm not sure what additional information you need, so I will try to provide what I can.
I came into possession of the doll about 40 years ago. My uncle had it in a box - all the parts were accounted for, although not necessarily connected. After several years, I found a local "doll hospital" to have the doll cleaned up and put back together. The doll was returned with new hair and "clothes", replacing the moth eaten remnants of the original clothes. The doll has since been with me and is kept in a glass case.
The doll stands about 20 inches tall. I believe all parts beyond the string holding it together are original.
