What does this mean?

This is a vintage kora lute harp instrument from West Africa; these are usually made with calabash gourd and added decoration such as leather and shells. These were generally made by the Malinka people. When played it is placed on the ground in a vertical direction and the musician is seated. These can be found being played mostly in the Gambia River Valley region. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
