Dear Saifar,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in a mixed media technique on canvas with the measurements of 60 x 48 inches. This artwork was made by the contemporary artist BASHA in the year 2013.
Works by this artist were recently not offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 2.000 to 4.000 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Saifar,
For estimation, we have to differentiate the different markets of the art market. You as a private person have to use the secondary auction art market which is an open market. Contemporary art pieces are usually sold on the closed first market of the galleries. Galleries usually have very high asking prices which can not be reached again when you have to sell this artwork on the secondary auction market.
Sadly I don't see this artwork in the by you stated price range.
With kind regards,
Georg
The artist name is BASHA, not Alfred BASHA.
Please fix that, so we may download the appraisal with the correct name.
The artist name is BASHA, not Alfred BASHA. The value is low for this style of work with heavy details. We believe the accurate market value should be $6,000 - $8,000.
