What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your items for appraisal. I am a bit blindfolded here, the description is rather vague and there are no photos. I assume you are referring to first half 20th century Alfred Meakin Kingsdale porcelain plates with 18k gold trim. Such plates are quite common and are offered at auction on a regular basis. The estimate is for plates or bowls. Jugs or tureens usually sell for double the high estimate.
