Framed, signed and numbered. Measures 10x11"
Unknown
Dear Kathleen,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a lithograph in colors on paper with the measurements of 11 x 10 inches. It depicts a view of a Russian or Ukrainian city with an orthodox church and a city wall to the right and has the title "Silence". Such fortifications for the city centers are called Kremlin. This print was made and hand-signed in a felt-tip pen by Anatole Krasnyansky (B.1930) and has the edition of AP 15/50. AP means Artist Proof and is a preliminary edition before the edition.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 70 to 140 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
Dear Kathleen,
Thank you for your inquiry about consigning through Mearto. When you submitted your item to us for appraisal, did you select "yes" or "maybe" when you were asked if it was for sale? If so, your item automatically entered a database, which is accessed by a number of regional and international auction houses actively seeking new items for consignment. If there is any interest, they will contact you directly through our platform. You will receive an email notification if one of them makes an inquiry. If you selected "no" when asked if the item was for sale, you can change this so that your item enters the database. Just visit "my collection," select the item, then click the "edit item" button at the top of the page. On the resulting page, click "yes" or "maybe" to answer the question: "Are you looking to sell this item?" Good luck and if there's anything else I can do to help, please just let me know!
With kind regards,
George
Thank you George! No worries since it's a holiday weekend. Does your evaluation cover the artist's proof and the frame/float/matte? I'm considering adding it to the Mearto Marketplace and wanted to understand the total offer price. The framing was by Aaron Brothers which is a pricey here in Dallas. Many thanks, Kathleen
