CONDITION: appears to be in excellent original condition
PROVENANCE: inherited by neighbor

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
The shoes are from the House of George Paine and say "Shoe Soap Kid"
The mark isnt the conventional one for Jumeau (of any period) so I'm just wondering if there was documentation or something else that said it was a Jumeau and not by another maker.
The owner had this and another doll in boxes that she marked as Jumeau dolls. I also had someone tell me that it was a Jumeau but I agree the markings suggest otherwise which is why I wanted your input. ๐ I am happy to send any info or pictures that you may need.
Thanks, Jason. There's a strong chance this *is* by Jumeau because I couldn't align the markingson this doll with another maker but collectors/buyers like to see conventional markings so I've been conservative with my valuation, all things considered.
If this were marked with one of the conventional Jumeau markings, you could expect an auction estimate to be $800-1,200.
Thanks Delia! Can you guys help with the auction or sale process? If so can you tell me who I need to get in touch with to get those details?
Thanks!
Jason
You might reach out to Theriault or Withington auctions, which have doll auctions.
If you've marked this item as "for sale" and "public," it is visible to people looking at our marketplace and if they are interested in purchasing this they can contact you directly.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
I don't see any other markings on the back of the head as you wpuld normally see. The bottom of the shoes appear to say something similar to "Gode Otap Kid" but it is hard to see with the minor damage on the shoe.
Thanks!
Jason
