Size: 20" wide, 13 1/4" deep, 42" tall, dark wood looks like burled, in excellent shape, all original hardware My mom inherited it from her brother in 2005. She passed last month and we need to place a value on it.
My mother inherited all of her brothers antiques in 2005 when he died. He collected antiques in Orlando, Florida where he lived. He especially liked Asian antiques. My mom passed last month and we are working on her estate which includes this lovely piece of furniture.
Lovely Chinese kabinet with big drawers. Most likely made for export to the west. I believe its a late 19th early 20th century piece. Typical brass appliques and hinges and locks. From what I can see it looks like made from Zitan wood ( or Chinese Sandalwood, Pterocarpus santalinus ). These kabinets are best sold in a local auction house if you want to sell it. Problem with larger furniture is that on online platforms shipping costs are really high and therefor in most cases prices stay behind.
