The chinoiserie central panel is an attractive - and unusual - element that I think adds considerably to the value (without it, this would have a value of $2,000-3,000).

An antique Louis XVI satinwood and mahogany marquetry inlaid and ormolu mounted marble-top commode
French, late 18th/early 19th Century
Of rectangular section with canted corners, surmounted by a corresponding marble or slate top, the case fitted with two hinged ebonized diamond inlaid cabinet doors centering a hinged central door with scarlet lacquer Chinoiserie scene, all raised on square tapering legs.
36 inches tall, 60 inches wide, 24 inches deep
CONDITION: appears to be of generally good condition
