Antique Buffet, Not sure what kind of wood material it is, 5.6 ' H by 3.6' W curved glass on each side. with key for glass door.
My father inherited this from a 90 year old aunt back in 1968
Dear Alex,
Thank you for your request. The appraised object is a display cabinet probably made in the early 20th century. The cabinet has a front door with a single glass display and the corners are closed with bend glass pane. The process to produce bent glass panes in a high number was invented in the early 20th century. This piece was probably made around 1910/1920. The wood could be tiger maple or stained oak wood.
An estimation would be between 1000 to 2000 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
