Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely doll. Such dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis. It is what you would call a collectors doll made in the late 1900s and early 2000s. They are made in the style of antique dolls with porcelain heads and papmache and composition bodies. The clothes are made in the old style too. These dolls were made as souvenirs and collectors dolls. Their value today does not exceed the original retails price. It is a lovely doll however without a high second hand sales value.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to your grandmothers doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
