Antique Islamic solid silver Fruit Sherbet Spoon (or cocktail spoon) with Turkish Ottoman Coin bowl and long twisted stim handle tested .800 (Silver grade), with elaborate finial in the form of the crown, surmounted by Islamic symbol a crescent moon and star. The bowl is made of Sultan Abdul Aziz II 20 Kurush Silver Coin dated AH 1277 (10). Obverse: Sultan Abdul Aziz II Tughra beneath stars and above regnal year, wreath, and value. Lettering: ١٠ سنة Translation: Year 10 Reverse: Stacked legend within wreath. Lettering: عز نصره ضرب في قسطنطينية ١٢٧٧ Translation: May he be victorious Struck in Constantinople 1277 Tested at .800 sterling silver.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length of the spoon: 11 inches. Bowl diameter is about 1.25 inches. WEIGHT: 56.8 grams (2 oz)

Bowl fashioned from a Sultan Abdul Aziz II 20 Kurush coin with twisted handle and crescent moon and star terminal.
