Items are in office at Mountain View Mausoleum in Pasadena, California (www.mtn-view.com) along with 1800's art and Tiffany Glass. stained glass, etc., from Europe. This was the office furniture of Cecil Bryan who built more than 80 cathedral-like mausoleums in the USA. He was mentored by Frank Lloyd Wright and Bryan made numerous trips to Europe to purchase art and furniture. Cecil Bryan retired from mausoleum design in about 1922.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The table appears to be a late 19th - early 20th century American Renaissance Revival parlour table. The octagonal top is inset with marble and raised on four figural scrolling legs, centered with a segmented baluster standard. While the table is lovely, the market is soft for the lighter wood varieties and overall, people are not decorating with these pieces as much anymore.
