I purchased the rifle from a beduin tribe in the Marib desert of Yemen. Condition well used, they confirmed it was used for fighting up until the 1970's. No additional info known.
43 3/4" long rifle, chamber with bolt open from bolt face to barrel approx 3 5/8", barrel length 24 1/2", end of rifle bore using tape measure 3/8"
Hello,
This item is an antique bolt-action rifle, likely from the early to mid-20th century. The condition shows considerable use, with wear present on the wood stock and metal components, indicating it was functional until the later part of the century. Based on the images, the rifle appears to have originated from the Middle East, possibly used by tribal or Bedouin groups, as suggested by its provenance.
The rifle’s construction points to a military or hunting design typical of bolt-action rifles from European or American manufacturers. The hardware style and mechanics resemble rifles used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Given its age and usage history, the firearm likely served in both functional and ceremonial roles.
