21" W 40" T 39" D Material is wood and like a wicker seat and back. Appears to be similar to Bentwood or a Thonet. I am having a hard time matching the legs. I have found no stamps, markings or signatures of any kind.

Hi Kaitlin,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
There were a few companies that made bentwood seating furniture after Thonet perfected the technique; in the current market they all bring about the same money with only a little more for original Thonet chairs. The vigorous scrolling legs of your chair are particularly nice and worth the additional money (if this had straighter legs it would be $150-250 or $200-300).
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An Art Nouveau style bentwood rocking armchair
early/mid 20th Century
With rounded top and caned back and seat, vigorously scrolling arms and legs, on rockers.
height 40 inches; width 21 inches; depth 39 inches
CONDITION: breaks typical of bentwood furniture; caning possibly replaced.
PROVENANCE: acquired at auction
$300-500*
