There were a few companies that made bentwood seating furniture after Thonet perfected the technique; in the current market they all bring about the same money with only a little more for original Thonet chairs. The vigorous scrolling legs of your chair are particularly nice and worth the additional money (if this had straighter legs it would be $150-250 or $200-300).

With rounded top and caned back and seat, vigorously scrolling arms and legs, on rockers.

CONDITION: breaks typical of bentwood furniture; caning possibly replaced.
