I inherited 5 older rugs from my Step-Father who passed away suddenly. I believe he inherited them from his Aunt, so I believe them to be older, maybe 30 to 50 years old. This is the largest 9'.9" x 6".5". I wish I knew more about them, but I don't. This rug doesn't have any damage to speak of.

Dear Michelle,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Your rug is an antique handwoven Persian Kashan. It is considered to be in good condition. It dates from the mid 20th. Located in the Isfahan region, Kashan is one of the oldest cities in Iran. The rug is woven out of wool on a cotton background, using the Persian asymmetrical knot technique. There will be anywhere from 120 to 840 knots per square inch. Rugs from this area gained popularity in the 19th century with the influx of western tourists. These pieces are known for the unique center medallion with its palmetto style leaves and arabesque designs, which are surrounded by a bright red background. The design of the of your rug features Hayat Agaci or Tree of Life. The tree symbolizes immortality, longevity, and resurrection, it also represents paradise, and the fruit on the tree signifies substance and abundance. Based on recent price realizations, a fair market value for your rug would be between 500 and 1500 US dollars.
Best Regards,
Morgan
