It's approximately 6' high x 38" wide x 19" deep. Made of solid wood.
I bought it from a local guy who said he got it from a woman in Los Angeles, Can.
Dear Natalie,
Thank you for your request. The presented object is a hutch with the measurements of approximately 6' high x 38" wide x 19" deep. The hutch is decorated with Art Nouveau decor and made out of massive wood. The localization is not that clear, because the decor follows French idols and there is no especially Russian stylistic detail. On the reverse side, we see a stamp in Cyrillic letters. I can just read the word "3000 boxes" which could be adaptable with the idea of an import stamp into the Russian Empire. On the other hand, the quality of the carvings is not very good so the idea that this hutch was made in France and exported to Russia is not convincing. This hutch was made at the beginning of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
