Purchased from estate auction. Antique secretary style desk from Italy though French centime found underneath small drawer. No markings such as initials or serial numbers. Floral inlay and brass-Gilt.
Auctioned from estate of Judge Roy Hofheinz in Houston, TX. His wife purchased from Italy. Used for her 2nd room. French centime from 1962 found inside beneath drawer (possibly originated in France?)

An Italian Rococo style marquetry and parquetry inlaid and ormolu mounted escritoire
In the French taste, late 19th Century
The parquetry and marquetry inlaid shaped case fitted with a slant lid with floral inlay opening to a divided interior with waterfall drawers and leather-lined writing surface, over a shaped apron fitted with two short drawers and a central faux drawer, all on cabriole legs ending in brass sabots.

CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age and use.
