Relative was a friend of the Kaufmann family of Pittsburgh (Kaufmann Department Stores / Fallingwater). Over the years she acquired various gifts from the family. Not sure where the Asian artifacts came from other than she was told they were from a temple and brought home from abroad and given to her.
Thank you for contacting Mearto and I apologize for the delay. This is a Chinese or Tibetan bronze buddha in lotus position with gilt accents. There is a quatrefoil floral pattern on the base. Based on comparison with similar sculptures, it probably dates from the Qing dynasty. Below I have added links to hammer prices of similar pieces to give you an idea of the market. Prices vary based on provenance, intricacy and the buyer/seller. My estimate is based on these.
