I’m not sure if this is real or a reproduction. I can’t find any images of it online. It’s signed “Stefan” and comes in a wood frame with a faded marked “made in Mexico”. It’s not on canvas, but some 1/8” thick material. It has raised brush strokes.

Hello, this item is an oil painting still life depicting two apples, one red and one yellow, on a golden textured background. The work is signed “Stefan” at the lower right and painted on a thin 1/8” board rather than canvas, with evident raised brushstrokes suggesting direct impasto technique. The back shows a faded label reading “Made in Mexico,” which suggests this is a decorative painting produced for the mid- to late-20th century art market rather than a unique gallery piece. The frame and style also support its use as an affordable decorative work rather than a fine art collectible.
In terms of value, paintings of this type, even when signed, are generally sold in the decorative art category rather than as investment-grade fine art. While it holds aesthetic charm and craftsmanship, there is little evidence of attribution to a recognized artist. On the secondary market, such works typically achieve between 50 and 150 USD, with value determined by condition, frame quality, and appeal of the subject to buyers.
