Arnold & Sons 1916 Operation Instruments kit
This was purchased by my father in London some time in 60's or 70's. The case 17.5 x 6.5 x 3.5. I have no idea if more instruments came with it or not. It still has the original needles and thread. The case is made of mahogany and appears to have brass corners and clasps. The bottom of the case has a split in the wood; and does not close perfectly.

The presented object appears to be a WWI field surgeon´s set made by Arnold & Sons in the year 1916 used by the British military. It comes in a mahogany case with brass fittings and is sadly not complete.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 1.000 to 2.000 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

Georg, if it was complete, how much would it be worth? In other words, should I go hunting for forceps?
