Wooden base table in art deco style painted in black laquer with glass top which is 20 inches square and slopes to smaller base. Wood could possibly be maple. Fair condition, needs restoring. No markings. Similar shaped pieces say they are French??
Don't know
This is a vintage, 20th century, 1930's, Art Deco style occasional side table done in a lacquered or glossy black bent wood form with a thick glass top. It is also considered Bauhaus style and likely French made.
Please also add links to the similar pieces you mention finding that state they are French
I don't have any links. Some pieces were listed on Ebay which named the designer and said they were French. I don't know how they know this without markings. I have owned this piece for over 40 years.
Please also add a well-lit, clear image of the underside of the table.
