I bought both pieces of art at the same time at the same gallery: the Green Street Gallery in NYC. They are both in their original frames. I have receipts for both showing my purchase of them. One of the lithographs, Casa de la Suenas, is hanging in the Smithsonian Latin American Folk Art Museum.

Hello, this item is a limited-edition lithograph titled “Cumpleaños de Lala y Tudi” by renowned Chicana artist Carmen Lomas Garza, numbered 10/20. Measuring approximately 34 x 26 inches, this print vividly depicts a joyful birthday celebration scene, rich with cultural detail, family gatherings, and everyday life — signature themes in Garza’s acclaimed body of work. Known for her narrative style and vibrant color palette, Garza’s works celebrate Mexican American traditions and are part of numerous public and private collections, including major museums.
Given her established reputation and the limited edition size, this lithograph holds an estimated market value between $4,500 and $5,500 USD, depending on condition, framing quality, and provenance (which here is well supported with receipts and gallery acquisition). Notably, Garza’s pieces have been exhibited in institutions like the Smithsonian, which enhances both her critical standing and collector demand. For insurance or resale, maintaining documentation and original frames further supports its full market potential.
Hello Alison! Carmen Lomas Garza’s work holds cultural and historical resonance that institutions such as the Mexican Museum in San Francisco or the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago may appreciate, especially for acquisitions or temporary exhibitions.
Hi David, I would like to sell this artwork for the best price possible. Do you have ideas other than through your affiliated auction house where I might find Latin American art collectors or a Latin American museum that may be willing to pay on the higher end of your estimate? Thank you for your help with this. All the best, Alison
