All original, works and plays great.All slide valves work and "Pop". Varnish/finish warn. Two very small dings. Not sure, however, I think it was made between 1953 and 1963. Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is a Bach Mt. Vernon Stradivarius trumpet in Bb, manufactured in Mt. Vernon, New York, circa 1961-1964. Composition is silver/nickel and brass. The piece has a serial number of 22574. A hard case in fair condition with handle damage is included, but missing its key.
Condition of the trumpet based on photographs shows moderate play-wear with several areas of oxidation, rust (particularly on the bell), and general wear through the finish. According to the owner, the valves and slides move freely and the piece includes two small dings not apparent on photographs. The piece may need servicing. Based on recorded sales of comparable Bach trumpets at auction, Fair Market Value is estimated at $1,000 to $1,200.
Keith, the model is the "Stradivarius". I believe the M above the serial number denotes an M sized bore which most commonly had a 38 bell. https://www.bachloyalist.com/bach-trumpets-bells/ has a nice write-up for further reference.
