Carrara Marble statue of the Archangel Michael
The classically draped and spread-winged angel holding his right hand aloft (previously holding a sword, now missing), his left foot raised on a stone, on a square plinth base. Raised on a carved marble fluted square pilaster.
Statue is 61 inches high, width of wingspread is 50 inches
Plinth base is 26 inches high, 22 inches wide by 22 inches deep
CONDITION: Now missing the sword in Michael's right hand; minor areas of encrustation in crevices.
PROVENANCE: Acquired with a home purchase

Hello its looks like it did have something in the raised hand it looks like it broke off i just checked its a stob in front of hand and in back
